This recipe is designed to help you heat and glaze a smoked ham purchased from our shop. The result is tender and juicy perfection with a sweet touch to complement the smoky & savory flavors of the ham.
Ingredients
- 1 whole smoked ham
For The Glaze
- 1 cup honey (or maple syrup)
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1 Tbsp Gustov’s mustard
- 5 whole cloves
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325F
- Using a sharp knife, score the top of the ham in a criss-cross pattern
- Place the ham in a roasting pan with 1/2" water
- Cover with a lid or aluminum foil and place in the oven
- Make the glaze: Combine ingredients in a saucepan, stir and bring to a simmer
- Brush them ham with the glaze several times as the ham cooks
- Cook until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 160F
- Let stand 20 minutes before slicing
Note: To caramelize the glaze, remove the cover during the last 10–15 minutes of cooking and continue brushing with the glaze once or twice.
