Smoked Ham w/ Sweet Glaze

This recipe is designed to help you heat and glaze a smoked ham purchased from our shop. The result is tender and juicy perfection with a sweet touch to complement the smoky & savory flavors of the ham.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole smoked ham

For The Glaze

  • 1 cup honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1⁄2 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp Gustov’s mustard
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325F
  2. Using a sharp knife, score the top of the ham in a criss-cross pattern
  3. Place the ham in a roasting pan with 1/2" water
  4. Cover with a lid or aluminum foil and place in the oven
  5. Make the glaze: Combine ingredients in a saucepan, stir and bring to a simmer
  6. Brush them ham with the glaze several times as the ham cooks
  7. Cook until the ham reaches an internal temperature of 160F
  8. Let stand 20 minutes before slicing

Note: To caramelize the glaze, remove the cover during the last 10–15 minutes of cooking and continue brushing with the glaze once or twice.
